that's a very good reason to *not* copy code, not to avoid using the file
name in the BIF. if it has to run in more than one place then you should
be using subroutines or subprocs for it. JMO.

Actually, I got burn for using qualify name before. I copied a block
of dow loop and forgot to change the file name in the %eof bif.

Again, to paraphrase Bill Clinton, "It's the maintenance, stupid."

While %found() and %eof() may work fine 99.9% of the time (especially if
one goes through hoops), never has a program crashed and burned because
%found(SomeFile) or %eof(AnotherFile) failed to work. The program's
logic may fail, but not the bif. It, if qualified, is explicit and
precise; unqualified is not.

Yes Lim you can code it like this

setll somekey myfile;
read myfile;
DoW Not %eof();
setll somekey2 myfile2;
read myfile2;
DoW Not %Eof();
Read Myfile2;
enddo;
read myfile;
enddo;

I like to code for the next programmer, i believe it is a little clear
for the next guy to see the file names in the bifs.
