Again, to paraphrase Bill Clinton, "It's the maintenance, stupid."
While %found() and %eof() may work fine 99.9% of the time (especially if one goes through hoops), never has a program crashed and burned because %found(SomeFile) or %eof(AnotherFile) failed to work. The program's logic may fail, but not the bif. It, if qualified, is explicit and precise; unqualified is not.

I like to code for the next programmer, i believe it is a little clear for
the next guy to see the file names in the bifs.
