Technically true. But I hate using ELSEIF as a state controller, especially since it's NOT supported on many languages. C and Java don't support it, although one of the subtleties of the Java syntax allows "else if" to technically work just like "elseif".

In any case (no pun intended), I prefer SELECT/WHEN over ELSEIF for controller logic.
