Please understand that writing Redbooks is even more a labor of love than
writing magazine articles or whatever. You get paid for magazine work

IBM pay nothing (nada, ziltch, rien) for Redbooks. Some are lucky enough
to
be paid by their employer while they work on it. In our case all of us
our own companies. So taking time out to write a Redbook is a new loss -a
significant one.one
We tried to update the book (you can follow the story line here -
http://systemideveloper.com/redbookdiary.html - although it is a little
out of
date) but so far have only manage the two new pieces. We might manage
more - but don't hold your breath - it is just too time consuming.list
