I use it all the time for "hard" errors (vs. business logic errors) in
RPG-XML Suite. It is a great way to say "Hey, you are trying to use SSL but
it isn't setup on your machine" but it still allows the programmer to handle
the error and continue processing.

I am sure some would argue that I shouldn't use it that way, but it has
worked well for four years so I am sold:-)
