The rumour has been around a long time. Back in my Shelly & Cashman
Systems Analysis textbook from college there was a section there on
language selection. Mentioned that some languages are here and gone, and
some of the newer ones may have the same fate and gave RPG as an example.
Suggested Fortran or COBOL. Granted, this was circa 1983 and RPG had
already been on the scene for awhile. And that community college had a
couple of RPG classes.
