Re: Call a program with variables

When calling a program from the command line. The system doesn't know how
the parms should be formatted. It formats numeric parms as 15,5 packed
decimal. You probably don't have them defined that way in your program.
Other posts have pointed you places where you could have read this, and
read how to get around it. Including the post that recommended creating a
command.
If you are asking questions please check the articles that are sent back
to you as links. Don't just expect the answer handed back. The articles
explain in greater detail and can prevent you from making other mistakes.

Search the archives. This problem has been done to death in the past.

Essentially two choices:
1) Define the numeric values as 15,5 in your program and pass
literals without quotes
2) Pass numeric literals in hexadecimal including required sign

bits

(e.g., X'0123456F')
