Try this procedure (clean up for your own needs).

With this procedure you can enter dates in that are not formatted and
not complete. For example key in 0515 and the tool will expand the date
into 05/15/2008. With out format characters; 6 or shorter characters
are assumed to be in MDY format, 7 characters is assumed to be in USA
zero formatted and 8 can be validated to be USA or ISO.
This tool also has the ability to convert values like 'Next Mon' into a
data as 5/19/2008. See the values for DATRELPF.
