Does it discern between an enter generated by the DDS and a user-pressed Enter key?

Yes it does, I specifically check for enter key to execute validation
routines.

Is anyone still using the old indicator style of INKC, INKA, etc.?

Is there any reason why this should even be used today?

I know some are advocating using no indicators at all in a

program....but

is that not one of the strengths of RPG?
