The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
What about something like this:
Define a single character array with as many elements as the alpha field
is long.
Move the alpha field into the array. (Is that opcode MOVEA?)
Then loop through the array one element at a time.
If the character is zero, change it to blank, else you are done, bail out.
Move the corrected array back into the alpha field
Its been a while so I may not have it perfect, but something like this
should work.

Hello,
Is there a way to suppress leading zeros while moving a numeric field
to an alpha field in RPGIII (both fields have same length).
Unfortunately my shop uses RPGIII and is loathe to convert to RPG1V.
Please help
Thanks,
Prakash
