Hi Ewart
We actually design the layout/pre printed form in Microsoft Word. We then
print it to special AFP printer (sort of like creating a PDF) then upload
the file to the IFS and then use a series of command to convert it to either
a page segment or an overlay. We have do this for years and it works well
for us. However we still use the STRPDM when doing font changes in the
printer file.

I know that you have to install a printer driver from IBM for the AFP on
your pc, which can be downloaded from the IBM website. If you would like
more information let me know. Thanks

Subject: Code 400 designer for *AFPDS print file editing

Hello All,

Is there any easier way of designing a print layout using *AFPDS functions
i.e different font sizes, bar codes, boxes, etc. I find all these
functions are not supported in the Code 400 designer.

Thanks & best regards
Ewart
