The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

errr... would better examples of deprecation in RPG be MOVE, GOTO, and
the use of file members?
Maybe GOTO, given that there are more elegant ways to, for example,
leave a loop prematurely (something that was left out of that paragon of
structure, Pascal, because Wirth somehow couldn't imagine situations in
which a premature exit was normal, but completion indicated an error --
like he'd never done a table-lookup?). But MOVE is useful, as it is
frequently useful to assign a string in such a way that any padding or
truncation happens on the left, and I know of no other construct, in RPG
or any other HLL, that does this. (CPYBRA and CPYBRAP do it in MI).
Likewise, members are a feature of the native file system, not of RPG.
