Booth,

I'm not clear what/when you're having the problem.

I know you've done multiple windows on screen before, your two subfiles example.

So you know about OVERLAY, and AFAIK there's no limit to the number of windows you can overlay....

So what's the issue?

Charles

Subject: Multi-windows on one screen

I am playing this morning. :) With Green screen stuff.

Lets say I wanted to Write 7 overlapping windows to a screen.
(Eventually I want to click the title bar and "bring it to
the top") (maybe. depends on how it looks & feels)

I can write the windows, and it looks pretty nice. But ya
better look fast , because the next exfmt wipes it all out.

Therein lies my problem. How do I keep an exfmt from wiping
it all out?

I suspect I have to do a design change, but I am asking
because it surprises me how often this list comes up with a
simpler answer.
