The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.

Lastly, and hopefully not to confuse the issue. But Dr. Soltis points out
the OS/400 is Object-Based
not Object-Oriented. The difference is Object-Based doesn't use
inheritance (and thus doesn't use
polymorphism).
Absolutely, Charles. I didn't mean to imply that i5/OS is an OO
environment. In fact, I was trying to do the opposite: I was trying to show
that concepts like polymorphism are not limited to OO, and that we use them
all the time. We just don't call them polymorphism.
Heck, my three-year old understands polymorphism. He knows that opening a
book is different than opening a door, and that opening a car door is
different than opening the refrigerator door.
He even knows that "No" is polymorphic, and depends entirely on what it is
he's doing at the time <grin>.
