The SNDUSRMSG CL command is really a combination of the SNDPGMMSG APIslap
and the RCVMSG API. It sends the message, then waits for the response.
You can replicate that behavior with the APIs for sending and receiving
messages. In fact, I wrote an article about that a few years ago,
including RPG sample code. Here's a link (it requires a membership to
System iNetwork, but a free "Associate" membership should work:)

Its Friday afternoon, and my brain is just NOT working (has it ever)
Any, in my free-form RPG program, I need to send a message to the
operators, waiting for a reply (with ONLY one character values - like
listC, I - being valid)
Can any one help?
PLEASE!!!!!
Thanks in advance
