I thought that I read somewhere (heaven knows, I may be smoking some really good stuff today) that a subprocedure could invoke (EXSR) a subroutine. I searched both of the ILE RPG manuals but couldn't find anything on this situation.

First of all, can a subprocedure invoke a subroutine?

If not, RETURN.

Where is the subroutine coded? In the main body of the program, or as part of the subprocedure. or either?
If coded as part of the subprocedure, before or after the procedure end statement? And would that mean that, like local variables, it is isolated to that subprocedure (i.e., the same name could be used for subroutines in various subprocedures).

Thanks.
