My $0.02....

At this point, the only change I would make is to 'officially' change its
name to 'RPG' and forget about the fact that it's actually an acronym (if
that hasn't been done already).

However, I disagree that free-format no-cycle version of RPG is anything
other than RPG. By all means call it F-RPG (or FRPG) or something similar,
but no matter what bells and whistles you add to it, it's still RPG -
record-level processing and opcodes and all. That's not a bad thing.

Frankly, why do we even care what it's *called* - no-one outside the '400
world has heard of it, but is that really a problem? How many of these
languages have you heard of:

calling it RPG - it's a name that '400 people know and are happy with.
Changing its name won't get more people to use it.
