That is what I am doing; maybe I am not wording this correctly. If I amactual
attempting to create (CODE) a sub-procedure module, I assume that the
source has to be in a SPF member and typically I create these with the F6[mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx]
key, enter the name and the source type. For a sub-procedure how do I
accomplish the same thing?

Depends...
If "normally" use CRTBNDRPG then the answer is nope, not really. <grin>
You need to use CRTRPGMOD, which creates a *MODULE object.
Then you can use CRTPGM or CRTSRVPGM which create *PGM or *SRVPGM objects
binding together one ora
more *MODULE objects.
Take a look at the ILE concepts manual.

Charles

Subject: Sub-Procedures
This is probably a very rudimentary question about
sub-procedures ( have not used them in the past) and I am
going through the IBM Red Book, but as for setting up the
source physical file, am I correct in the assumption that a
sub-procedure, when it is a standalone module, is still
created as you would normally create an RPGLE program?
