If you are using client access (and probably other emulation products) and
want to change the keyboard map, you could capture the use of specific keys
by changing the keyoard layout. From the further discussion it appears the
PA1, PA2, and PA3 "keys" might be available for this purpose or, if you are
willing to have the function keys remapped to Alt-Q, you could do that. You
won't see Alt-Q (Fxx would return), of course, but depending on your
particular use, it might be close enough.

Not really sure how "important" this function would be, but since you can
map macros to keys... You could create macros to put a key code in a
particular field and return with an Enter. Then you query that field to see
which key was actually pressed. This would entail distributing macros and
customizing the keyboard layout (and keeping your users from changing the
keyboard layout!).

Subject: Retrieve the keys pressed on a Display file

http://www.mcpressonline.com/mc/1@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx@.6b39e198

I have been using the procedure to Retrieve the Function Key Used on a
Display File outlined in the above article for quite some time. A question
has been asked of me to see if its possible to capture the use of "OTHER"
keys, for example
CTRL - N pressed at the same time
or
ALT - Q pressed at the same time

any help and/or pointers would be MUCH appreciated.
Thanks in advance
