Hi Rob,

IIRC, ALIAS allows a 30-character name for use with COBOL programs, and 
must follow COBOL naming rules (all-caps being the annoying one).  Which 
is probably why RPG ignores it.  However, SQL will use either one, and 
iSQL shows the ALIAS field name in preference to the 10-character field 
name when prompting.
