Basically SQL knows nothing about DDM files. But native I/O does, and
beautifully. So if you really want to wrap a layer of complexity in here, write
some stored procedures in RPG that read the DDM file with CHAINs and all, then
use SQL/CLI to get the recordsets back.

Just kidding! Go Native!!!

Does anyone know how to create a ddm file on another AS400 that will let
you access the data using SQL or query? We have 2 Iseries and mutiple
ddm files on both iseries. However, you can not query the data in any
of the ddm files.

Thanks
