If a constant is needed it is returned by a function.
Select;
When FKeyPressed = F03();
When FKeyPressed = F12();
When FKeyPressed = Enter();
If ChkMyFld() = False;
DspAtr = GetDspAttrGrnRI();
EndIf;
EndSL;

This is a very beautiful way to code, and makes multi-lingual code so easy. I sometimes say bad words when I am debugging code like this though, because I do

eval FKeyPressed:x
x'3c'

and then I have to go look it up. The good thing is that all of the constants are in one place, so looking it up is not too hard.
