The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.

Maybe I'm wrong but the way I understand it is that RPG
IV is the version of RPG that supports ILE, but that
just by using the coding techniques,
ie. %found, doesn't make it a true ILE program.
Actually, you're half-right. The second half. Just using
the extensions doesn't make it a true ILE program.
Using the COMPILER makes it a true ILE program.
There is no OPM compiler for RPG IV. When you do an Option
14 on RPGLE source, and prompt it, it comes back with the
Create *Bound* RPG Program prompt screen. The key word is
"Bound." That means that under the covers, it compiles to
a module, in the batch job's QTEMP, then feeds that module
into the ILE linkage editor (the same one invoked from
CRTPGM, if you're linking manually).
When you STRDBG on the program, which debugger comes up?
ILE (and if you didn't specify *ALL or *SOURCE for
debugging information, you won't be able to see or do very
much).
When you do a DSPPGM on the program, which set of displays
comes up? ILE (and if you go through to the 3rd display,
the module list, you'll find that the program was linked
from a module in QTEMP).
