Sure, but that's what testing is for... <g>

This really is a question about what works best for one's environment, but in
general, null support in RPG is a PITA. Even embedded SQL in RPG is sloppy,
imo.

However, if some one queries the file for all records with a date 100 days
old and didn't know about the "default date" then these will show. Which
could really skew the validity of the data.
