Follow-up if not using Nulls what is the best way to handle Date
fields where you may not have a value for the field yet, as in a
revision date.

Well, I personally would steer clear of them, at least until IBM
improves null support for RPG. If you do decide to implement nulls in
your database, be prepared to consistently check your null indicator
before using that field in your code. This tends to get ugly real
quick, imo....

Good Afternoon,
I am working with a new table design and wonder about the wisdom of
using Null capable fields in the design.
Is it worth the trouble making fields Null capable and if so how do you
handle the fields in a Select Into or an Update operation operation.
I know I will need Null indicators and such but I wondering if it is
worth it.
