Misty,
Have a look at VisualAge RPG from IBM (
http://www-306.ibm.com/software/awdtools/wdt400/about/varpg.html )
If you don't have an iSeries, I believe you need to buy a stand-alone
version of WDSCi. Don't know any prices of this, though.
It will allow you to create RPG programs that run on Windows (native .exe)
or in Java (any OS).

Running RPG on Windows.
Hello Guru's,
I really feel like I am a 'Child of a lesser God'...(*pun intended*). I
worked at a iSeries shop before taking up a new job. I started getting
into
RPG and was slowly trying to learn it. The place that I am working at now
does not have an iSeries. Is it impossible for me to continue learning RPG
without an iSeries? I do not want to leave that skill half learnt. I still
want to continue learning it so that I can get into some real RPG
programming in the near future. Are there any windows based RPG compilers
available out there? Any free tools? Any suggestions would be greatly
helpful. TIA.
Kindest regards,
Misty.
