My counter argument is they'll also need the RPG compiler (if they wish to
recompile it). Let's not assume that all customers have that either. We
have many a lpar that doesn't have that loaded.
Imbedding sql allows you to:
- do stuff that might have increased your customers cost to do it without.
- Allow those development staffs that work for penny pinching employers to
have a business excuse to get ST1 for their own use.
- Encourage customers to use you for their modifications, thus increasing
your consulting income.
