If you supply source code with your software, they'll need it if they customize the program, in order to recompile it.

In our software we use regularly embedded (static) SQL. For this our
customers don't need to have the license for SQL on his machine when
running the application.



Now, we are thinking of using dynamic SQL (with PREPARE en EXECUTE
statements) in some special cases. My question now is : Is it necessary
to install the licensed program "DB2 Query Mgr en SQL Development Kit"
on the customers AS/400 or is everything imbedded in the OS ?
