Hi Jeff I have found myself in a similar situation where clients have different versions of the program in different environments and are never quite sure which is which. I have started adding a version number in the User Attribute field for each object I send them so that I can quickly identify which version of the object is in each environment. The objects user attribute is set using the QLICOBJD system API and a sample CL program can be found at http://code.midrange.com/index.php?id=dba3c5f6f7. We have 3 production AS/400's and we are now having a problem making sure that the programs are running the same modification levels on all systems. We do not run any change management software currently. Is there a way to mark the program or object so it can be checked for version numbers? Or is this more of a manual process that we need to do? Thanks for your help Jeff Williams -- WOW! Homepage (http://www.wowway.com)
