× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

Change the standards.

Failing that, can standard rpg i/o access sql "views"?  If so, then you 
could create a sql view that did this

Create view ClearView as (
select keyfield, decrypt(SSN....) as InTheClearSSN
from EmpFile)
