AW: Display file dynamically

have you tried the DSM service program from thomas raddatz. it wraps around 
most of the os400 apis concerning dsm and makes it easier to work with DSM.

HI - I need to create a display file with fields that are defined
dynamically - 

I have a situation where a seperate definition file holds the
information about which fields to display,

including the fields attributes - type, size, text...and the
circumstances when the field should appear 

on the screen (for output or both input and output).

One solution is to use DSM, but we have found this cumbersome and
overloaded with API's

I recall a type of display file called a user defined display file - and
I am looking for someone who 

may have had experience using this.
