If it's the NetServer name you need, RTVNETA _WON'T_ give it to you.

You might get lucky and have the NetServer name be the same as the SNA
name you can get using RTVNETA, but I wouldn't count on it. Note that
the deault NetServer name is the SNA system name prefixed by Q.
However, there is an option in the NetServer configuration to "Allow
iSeries NetServer access using the (SNA) system same."

Don't know off the top of my head a way to retrieve the NetServer system
name.

Which system name?

SNA: use the RTVNETA command others have posted.

TCP/IP: <...>

NetServer: <...>

Can't think of any others off the top of my head.

So which name do you need?

Hi everyone
I have a program that needs to know what AS/400 it is
running on to
determine some variables. How can I retrieve the system name
into my program
or CL? Thanks
