Your prototype for the IFS API probably has VARYING instead of OPTIONS(*STRING).
Can you post it?

I tried your suggestion and still got the same results - a single 64k 
message.

I also notice that there are two bytes prefixed to the data. I assume 
those are the bytes that indicate the actual length of the data. I also 
need to prevent that data from being prefixed to the actual data.
