I think I probably did them all - Yesterday! Rick Weber | TOYS 'Я' US International -----Original Message----- From: Joe Pluta [mailto:joepluta@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, January 10, 2007 10:41 AM To: 'RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries' Subject: RE: 1 <> 1 is true???
From: Ron Power It does help to compile the program after you make the code change too, would explain why the code was still executing. I compiled, it runs fine now.... sorry for the interuption... you can all have a good laugh on this one though.... thought I lost it, actually, I might have... :)
Hee hee! Ron, I've had so many of these over the years. 1. Forgetting to compile. 2. Compiling FROM the wrong source. 3. Compiling TO the wrong library. 4. Recompiling and assuming the compile was good. 5. With the advent of ILE, compiling but not binding. And of course, my favorite: 6. Compiling when the program is in the stack, and ending up using the object in QRPLOBJ, not the new version. For many years now, Shft-Req-3 and option 11 (DSPJOB/Display Program Stack) has become a basic part of every debugging session. Anybody else? Joe
