Print document using the AFP printer driver (see Access installation for
drivers). Be sure to specify that you are creating an overlay or page
segment. See printer properties.

FTP as binary image to shell file create at Max rcdlen

CRTOVL or CRTPAGSEG whichever is applicable in your case.

Sounds simple...sometimes trial and error before you get it right.

You most likely had installed the IBM AFP 300 print driver and used that as
your printer to create the overlay, then uploaded it to the AS/400.

I could be wrong, but if I'm remembering correctly, I just opened the image
in Paint or Photoshop, printed the image to file as an overlay.

Insert the jpg image into a word doc. Then turn the word doc into an
overlay.

I know this is not a true RPG question, but hope someone can help me.
I have a .jpg file I need to convert to an *ovl, to be in used in an DDS
program on our AS400.
The .jpg file is on our shared drive.
I would appreciate it if anyone could help me with this.
Willie..
