RE: Legacy question

Can you provide an example of what kind of logic you are thinking of
loading to a DB?  I'm not sure how you'd do it if you are talking about
loading actual code statements like "If COND = 'A'    Eval R=B".

On the other hand, if you're just talking about a rules database then
that's not really any different than any other kind of db that is used
to control logic in a program. Is it?  Maybe I'm missing something there
in your question.

We have some programs that have hard-coding, in the logic phase of a
program. I am thinking it may be interesting to put these together into
a database thereby use this in the code instead. Usually these are
assorted 'exceptions to the rule' accounts.

 

Anyone who has done please share your experience, ideas on this.
