That would be my solution also. Assign a lower priority to the SPL2 files and they will not begin printing until all of the SPL1 files have finished.

Subject: Sorting spooled files

Hello!

I have the following problem: An application creates spooled file
'Splf1' and 'Splf2'.

Splf1 is a packing list and Splf2 is a delivery note. These files are
created in batch, so that in the outqueue there is the following
sequence

Splf1

Splf2

Splf1

Splf2

Splf1

Splf2

...

and so on.

Is there any API or tool that enables me to resort the outqueue so that
first all files that are named Splf1 are printed and after that all
files that are named Splf2?

Thanx in advance
