Does anyone know the actual real limit to an activation group's heap space? Is there one?
Thanks to the miracle of single level storage, you are limited only by your available DASD. I have no trouble allocation 300+ GB my development box. For a given machine, compile and run (in debug): www.brilligware.com/testheap_t.txt The call to _C_TS_malloc wil return *NULL when the allocation fails. Look at the value of $I, and that will tell you your maximum heap size (in gigabytes) within a gigabyte. Chris --
