Well, the applet is served off the same machine, but the user is somewhere
else - off on the internet or whatever I suppose. I have considered using
CGI, or even just distributing a thick client, but an Applet would be so
easy...

Subject: Re: VisualAge RPG, Database Access, and Applets...

If its on the same machine, does it have to be an applet? Why not a
regular Windows program?

It suggest that because the answer to your question is "Yes, but its not
pretty"

Is it possible to create an applet from VARPG and have it access a
database?

If so, has anyone got an example they are willing to share? Needs to
access
a DB/2 UDB database running on the same Windows machine that is serving
up
the applet.

Help?

Thanks
