You might also look into the Linoma conversion tool. It takes the IBM converted output and cleans it up quite nicely.

In general I don't do a mass-conversion; I convert one program at a time, when I need to do maintenance on it. A mass conversion _should_ entail a mass system test, and who has time for that? The major issue is not the conversion from RPG III format to RPG IV format; that's pretty easy. The big problem comes when the staff start to use RPG IV without reading the manual; especially the section relating to numeric precision and intermediate results for EVAL. Read the manual. --buck
