I create a string that looks something like this: RUNRMTCMD CMD('c:\sigxfr.cmd &transid') + RMTLOCNAME('192.168.2.107' *IP) + RMTUSER('rmtuser') RMTPWD('rmtpwd') and then execute it from my RPGLE program with QCMDEXC. Works like a charm. Of course, the IP address is dynamic 'in real life' since it's individual clients systems that execute the sigxfr command. On 11/15/06, Douglas Palme <dpalme@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:
We have a third party software package that updates some of our db2 files, I am wondering if it is possible to execute that app (windows app) from within an rpg program..? If so, would someone be kind enough to point me in the correct direction? I have searched google for remote execution as/400 and rpgle with no success.. **************************************************************************** This transmission may contain information that is privileged, Confidential and/or exempt from disclosure under applicable law.
