Window idea is good. I was wondering if any of the newer languages have ways of being incorporated for this purpose if it can't be done w/ the existing subfile structure. -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Booth Martin Sent: Monday, October 16, 2006 11:09 AM To: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Subject: Re: Subfile start line Perhaps there is a way you can put the subfile into a window, and display that overlayed on your screen? However then you have the next problem of varying the displayed number of lines so that you can vary the size of the displayed subfile to fit the remaining available lines. Phil Kestenbaum wrote:
HI, for a subfile you have to give the starting line, for the display part. Is there anyway to have this be a variable start, based on how much the previous screen has? I guess one method is to have multiple subfiles w/ various start
lines,
is there a better way? Thank you, Phil
