   This is some good info; time permitting I will look to rewrite my
module maybe once I get my head around UUID's. But, to keep my deadline
(this afternoon) with many more hurdles to cross.  I will have to go
with the %subdt method.

Instead of milliseconds look at UUID (Universal Unique ID).
