In answer to the original post, if you create the JOIN LF using the the
JDFTVAL keyword, the JOIN file will contain ALL the records in the primary
file, even if there is no secondary match.

Subject: Join Files

Hi All: I have set up a join file on 2 physical files and am
successfully getting the information I need with the following
exception.

When I have a record in the primary file that does not
have
a record in the secondary, I still want to retrieve the primary
record.
Is this possible using a Join Logical and if so how and if not is
there
a better way to accomplish this?

I have tried searching the archives but the only thing I
found was discussions on using keys from primary and secondary and not
anything about the problem I am having?

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
