When we did the RPG-to-RPGLE thing back at one of my previous projects, we got bitten by the OVRDBF bug. If you have mixed ILE and OPM programs, the OVRSCOPE parameter can be very important. If you have a formal testing environment, I would at least execute it in that test area. On some systems with no test env, I have converted it then executed in production. Very rarely (years ago) I've hit an error compiling, so I do not blindly convert without looking at results. Biggest problems have been with previous programmers compiling with ignore decimal errors, or with an ovrdbf in effect, and whether blindly compiling as rpgiii or iv it's a problem. jim franz
