I would always put ( ) around the expression. Does it still fail if you 
do.

I just confirmed your results. It's gotta be a bug in the compiler.

Results as $50.00-.  Which is what I want to see.

 

C Eval ExtPrice$ = %editc(Amt * -1: 'J': '$') 

Results as $50.00.  (no minus sign)

Why is this?  What am I missing?  Something about the intermediate
result of the expression?
