Mike, If you create two formats (one for each "set" of fields) then write them to the screen, you should see the results you desire. The key would be to use the CLRL(*NO) keyword on those two formats so they don't erase the display. Just make sure you have enough information in the formats so the erase the other format's data. -Bob Cozzi www.iSeriesTV.com Ask your Manager to watch iSeriesTV.com -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Mike Sent: Thursday, August 31, 2006 8:12 AM To: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Subject: Re: Display File Ovelaping Fields Except that one field needs to be 10 long, another 50 long. Why not code an output field in that space and control what text gets loaded from within the program? Soft-code it? That solves your problem plus eliminates the indicators... However, I want to use the space for both sets of fields. It has been so long I don't remember how to do it. I have tried to place an indicator on the field and set non-display I still get overlap errors. Here is a couple sample fields.
