A Do While checks the condition at the TOP of the loop...But since you're already IN the loop, you have to check the exit condition (whether F3 has been pressed) BEFORE writing the record...

Shiva - I'm NOT going to give you the technical answer, but anyone who has had the CS101 course (basic programming logic) has surely been taught that a DO WHILE loop (RPG/400's DOW operation) doesn't check the looping condition until it reaches the END of the loop (RPG/400's ENDDO operation). BTW: This is true for ALL programming languages...
