Not confused at all...from the OP it seemed that she has given up on
finding an RPG IV class that caters to beginners & assumed that she
would have to learn RPG III first in order to learn RPG IV.  Are you
confused??/

I would do what some have mentioned which is a local college then maybe
a
converence or a book. RPG isn't really hard, if you have some good
examples
to start with you can get a good start quickly. Assuming you have some
programming expirience.
