Is there another error message telling you that EXTNAME NCMASTP is found?
Make sure that that library is in the library list.

Also what release are you compiling with?

I am working on a problem and I just can't see what is wrong. I am using
SQL
to get some data. I have the reciever variable defined as

     D gResultDs E DS ExtName(NCMASTP)

and the fetch statement is

     C/EXEC SQL
     C+ FETCH C1 INTO :gResultDS
     C/END-EXEC

When I compile the SQL precompiler tells me: "SQL0312 Position 24 Variable
GRESULTDS not defined or not usable." Now I know I have done this before at
my previous job, but I am not sure what I am missing. This is driving me
nuts.

Any ideas? I assume it is something stupid I am doing....
